About Shiraz
Shiraz is an undergraduate student at the University of California, Riverside studying Cell, Molecular, and Developmental Biology. She is passionate about exploring how biological systems function at the molecular level and is particularly interested in research that connects basic science to real-world health and environmental challenges. During her time at UCR, Shiraz has become involved in laboratory research and campus organizations that support student engagement in STEM. Through these experiences, she has developed a growing interest in scientific discovery, collaboration, and mentorship within the scientific community. Shiraz hopes to continue building her research experience by doing a PhD, while also contributing to projects that expand our understanding of biology and inspire the next generation of scientists.
